Many people who have not yet been initiated into the world of Yoga or Pilates ask me what is the difference between these two disciplines.

The most notable difference between Yoga and Pilates is that Yoga has a spiritual component that Pilates does not have. In Yoga the physical practice is directed towards meditation, with a more mystical aspect than Pilates, which is purely physical.

Yoga was born with the idea of meditation and to reach a state of peace and stillness, Pilates emerged as a method of rehabilitation and to learn to move in space more efficiently.

On the other hand, Pilates uses a series of machines and implements or accessories that are not usually used in Yoga.

Both Yoga and Pilates are disciplines that will help us to improve our body posture, not only during the classes, but throughout the day. This is achieved thanks to the work of our central area or core that is worked with both disciplines.

Both Pilates and Yoga work on joint mobility and flexibility, allowing us to gain quality of life and make an investment in our long-term health.

They also agree that there is no single "master line" to follow in Pilates and Yoga: in the case of Yoga we can find different types that differ from each other when it comes to being more fluid, more dedicated to the physical or spiritual part. If we talk about Pilates, there are different schools that, although they always share the basic principles of Pilates, have differences between them in their approach.

Personally I love these two disciplines and that is why I have merged them to offer you the best of them. Try my online class every Monday at 12.15 hrs (UK time).

People come to me who have been dieting for years - they usually say they've tried every single diet ou there, yet they can't stay slim for long.

Some cut carbs, some count calories, some ban whole food groups and they spend their lives weighing and measuring out food. This kind of dieting is a waste of time! It might help you at first, and you might drop a dress size or two, but you'll gain it back as soon as you come of that drastic diet because your body will still be toxic.

My approach is different. My approach is holistic. My approach is individual to you. There are no crazy rules, no measuring out food, no counting calories and very little is banned.

Following some key simple rules where we focus on clean eating you will get into easy habits that will become so natural to you that soon you won't have to think about what you can or cannot eat. You'll quickly and effortlessly become clean and right after you'll see you'll become lean as your body releases excess fat that it's been there for years.

Don't diet! Change your habits for good so you can start eating clean and feeling lean. That is something that will last more than a diet fade; it will last a lifetime !

One of the major reasons why vegan proteins is good for you is the amount of vitamins and minerals they contain.

First up we’ve got fibre. Plants are absolutely packed with it. Fibre is a vital part of a healthy diet, keeping our digestive systems running smoothly, maintaining a feeling of fullness after eating and contributing to good heart health.

On top of fiber, we got a blend of digestive enzymes that are great for your gut health and wellbeing.

Plant-based protein powder also offers more of the other vitamins and minerals that are so important for a balanced diet.

  • Allergy free - and tastes great!

Suitable for people with gluten and dairy allergies this is the perfect protein for you.

No allergic reactions means you can focus on your goals and get your body feeling the way you want it to.

  • Good for the environment

A big benefit for choosing a plant-based protein powder is the positive effect it has on the health of the planet.

Manufacturing plant-based protein powder requires less land, water, energy and other resources than for animal protein and there is much less waste too.

So, if you would like to create less of an impact on the earth, plant-based protein powder is a small step - but definitely one in the right direction!

This is why I chose to use Vegan protein powder myself. I have been using Arbonne nutrition supplements for the last three years which have been a life changing decision. Arbonne also stands for sustainability and excellent quality.
